Learning this skill will make work easier for everyone, whether you’re a student making surveys or a professional creating registration or order forms. Get ready to revolutionize your copying and pasting game!

First, let’s start with the basics. Mouse selection is a technique used to highlight and select multiple elements at once on your computer screen. Instead of copying and pasting elements individually, mouse selection allows you to select a group of elements simultaneously.

To begin, position your cursor at the starting point of the elements you want to copy. Click and hold down the left mouse button while dragging the cursor across all the desired elements. As you drag, notice how each element becomes highlighted or selected. This visual feedback confirms that the elements are being included in your selection. Once you have selected all the desired elements, release the mouse button.

Note: to cancel the selection, click the empty area on the editor outside any elements. This will deselect the chosen elements and restore the editor to its normal state. It’s important to note that when you copy or cut elements, they are stored in the clipboard temporarily. If you close the page or navigate away without pasting them, the copied/cut elements will be cleared from the clipboard.

But that’s not all - did you know that holding down additional keys on your keyboard while making a selection can give you even more control? For example, holding down the Shift key allows you to make a continuous selection by clicking at different starting and ending points. On the other hand, holding down Ctrl (or Command on Mac) enables you to select non-consecutive items with ease. These shortcuts may take a bit of practice initially, but once mastered, they will significantly speed up your workflow.

Now, with all the elements highlighted, you can proceed to copy and paste them as a group.

To copy the selected elements, click the Copy button on the editing toolbar. Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C (Cmd+C for Mac users). This action will place the selected elements into the clipboard.

To paste the copied elements, move your cursor to the desired location and click on an element. The copied elements’ new location will be after the element you just selected. Then, either click the Paste button on the editing toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V (Cmd+V for Mac users). The selected elements will be inserted into the new location.

If you want to cut and move the selected elements instead of copying them, you can use the Cut button on the editing toolbar or press Ctrl+X (Cmd+X for Mac users).

Click the Paste button on the editing toolbar or press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V for Mac users) to move the cut elements on the new location.

Besides copying and pasting elements, to delete multiple elements using mouse selection, first, click and drag your mouse to select the elements you want to delete. Once they are highlighted, press the Delete key on your keyboard or click the Delete button on the editing toolbar. The selected elements will be removed from their current location.

So why settle for tedious copying and pasting when there is a smarter way? With mouse selection techniques at your fingertips, selecting and pasting like a pro has never been easier!
